City_LAAs a manufacturing company that’s been in Los Angeles since 1937, we have watched our local community go through many changes over time.  It is our privilege to be operating in the heart of Los Angeles in an 87,000 square foot facility where the Los Angeles River runs through in our back yard.

Today, May 29, 2014 we were pleased to be a part of the announcement with the Mayor of Los Angeles Eric Garcetti, well respected government officials and the local community, and celebrate the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers backing $1-billion plan to restore the L.A. River.

As mentioned in the LA Times, “The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said it has decided to recommend approval of an ambitious, $1-billion proposal to restore habitat, widen the river, create wetlands and provide access points and bike trails along an 11-mile stretch north of downtown through Elysian Park.” (

Throughout the years, we have supported and participated in the river clear up with Friends of Los Angeles River (FoLAR) and this year was no different.  We were delighted to extend our parking lot and river entry to the FoLAR volunteers and organizers.  Well done FoLAR, another great year!
